wear includes surface scratches and/or edge wear (whitening on back edges).  Would rate these in terms of PSA, around "EX" / "Excellent" condition.
Could certainly see some of these cards scratch PSA 7 "NM" quality as well, but only at best if so.
For the cards considered Played, those will have minor to moderate
imperfections, such as edge/corner mark/nicks, or a bend mark at most.
